Hey there,

I am new to this community but would like to contribute so I am going to make a lot of custom skins for the RPG.

This first one is a Luigi skin and was basically just a test as I learn more about how the RPG works.



I am also willing to make custom skins for people if they name a subject/topic/theme and I will design accordingly.

Skinning Basics

Technical:  Uses 16bit RGB (5,5,5) for the hex values with in the uisettings file, The first bit is Alpha blending, and the rest are 5 bits for Red, 5 bits for Green and 5 bits for Blue.

Examples = 0x0000 = black  
                 0x7fff = white
                 0x001f = red
                 0x03e0 = green
                 0x7c00 = blue
               
When saving your images out make sure to save them as .bmp and in 16bit format otherwise they will not display correctly on the DS.

Explanation of uisettings.ini file

Set all to black for demo purpose
[global settings]
formFrameColor = 0x0000                     This is the colour outline of the popup/settings windows.

formBodyColor = 0x0000                       This is the colour of the background in the popup/settings windows.

formTextColor = 0x0000                       The colour of the text in the popup/settings windows.

formTitleTextColor = 0x0000                 The colour of the header text of the popup/settings windows.

buttonTextColor = 0x0000                    The colour of the text which is displayed over the top of the buttons, for buttons see btn2.bmp, btn3.bmp & btn4.bmp for visual.

spinBoxNormalColor = 0x0000                 This is the spin box in the settings menu which you can spin through the options i.e to choose a skin, this is the colour for when it is normal and not
                                                          highlighted.

spinBoxFocusColor = 0x0000                  Same as above but is the colour of the background of the spin box when it is active, currently selected.

spinBoxFrameColor = 0x0000                  The frame colour of the spin boxes.

spinBoxTextColor = 0x0000                    Colour of the text in the spin box for when it is not selected or in use.

spinBoxTextHiLightColor = 0x0000           Colour of the text in the spin box when it is currently selected or in use.

listViewBarColor1 = 0x0000                     Colour of the selection bar in the pop up start menu.

listViewBarColor2 = 0x0000                     I think this is the colour of the selection bar when in list view mode but dont know really, I usually make this the same colour as number 1.

listTextColor = 0x0000                           I assume the normal text colour when in list view mode but not sure.

listTextHighLightColor = 0x0000              I assume the highlighted text colour when in list view mode but not sure.

popMenuTextColor = 0x0000                   Normal text colour of the start pop up menu.

popMenuTextHighLightColor = 0x0000      Highlighted text of the start pop up menu.

popMenuBarColor = 0x0000                    No idea
